📸 E-Commerce Operations Assistant (Cullman, AL, USA)
Who We Are
Folio Vault is a growing e-commerce company specializing in collectible Folio Society books. We sell through eBay, social media, and are preparing to launch our own Shopify website.
We have operated successfully in the UK since 2019, building a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and customer service. In late 2025, we expanded to North America and quickly achieved Top Rated Seller status on eBay.com. Folio Vault is an independent business and is not affiliated with The Folio Society.Â
We are a process-led company using structured systems and clear workflows to manage inventory, photography, online sales, and customer service.Â
The Role
We are looking for a reliable and detail-focused person to join our small Cullman office, working alongside two other team members while coordinating with our UK operation.
This is a varied operational role combining computer-based work with hands-on tasks. You will play an important part in preparing collectible books for sale, helping ensure every book meets Folio Vault's quality standards before it reaches our customers.
Your responsibilities will include:
Receiving incoming collections of books and carefully checking their condition
Cleaning and preparing new arrivals for social media and online sale
Photographing books using Folio Vault's simple smartphone-based photography process
Preparing books for sale across our e-commerce channels, including our upcoming Shopify website
Supporting other day-to-day e-commerce operations as required
Assisting with order processing, packing, and shipping during busy periods
Photography at Folio Vault follows a simple, repeatable process using a smartphone and photo box. This is not a creative photography role and does not involve professional photography equipment, image editing, or graphic design. We are looking for someone who enjoys following clear processes, maintaining consistent standards, and taking pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.Â
What We’re Looking For
We care more about reliability, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn than specific industry experience.
We are looking for someone who is:
Organized and dependable
Comfortable using computers and learning new software systems
Able to work independently and follow structured processes
Detail-focused and takes pride in accurate, high-quality work
Proactive, motivated, and willing to take ownership of their work
Comfortable asking questions and seeking guidance when needed
Comfortable communicating with our UK team, who oversee day-to-day operations remotely
Because we are a small team, this role is best suited to someone who is comfortable managing their own workload, enjoys learning new processes, and does not require constant supervision. We value people who take initiative, communicate openly, and ask thoughtful questions as they develop in the role.
Experience with e-commerce, ebay, Shopify, photography, databases, books, or collectibles is helpful but not required.
Growth Opportunity
As Folio Vault North America continues to grow, team members who demonstrate reliability, initiative, and strong operational standards may gradually take on additional responsibilities over time.
Depending on business needs and individual strengths, these may include customer service, sales, purchasing, or process improvement.
